Merchants in The Blood of Dawnwalker
There are 51 merchants in The Blood of Dawnwalker, carrying 770 stock entries between them. Each merchant page lists exactly what that trader offers, the item types they will buy from Coen, and the stock windows that decide when their inventory refreshes.
Merchants are not interchangeable. General stores, blacksmiths and medics carry different categories, and several items in the game are only ever sold by one trader, which makes the merchant list the fastest way to find a specific consumable or recipe without hunting loot tables.
Prices scale with item level
Prices in The Blood of Dawnwalker are not fixed. Both buy and sell values are multiplied by 1.0369 for every item level, compounding, so the same sword costs noticeably more at level 30 than at level 5. Traders may apply their own multiplier on top of that.
Because the multiplier compounds, selling early loot is worth less than it looks and buying late is expensive. The item pages on this site show the price at whatever level you select, so a purchase can be checked against the denarii actually in hand.
Silver is contraband
Possession of silver is prohibited in Vale Sangora, and only a handful of vendors will buy it at all. That makes silver a genuinely awkward form of loot in The Blood of Dawnwalker: valuable, heavy on the conscience of whoever is carrying it, and hard to convert into denarii.
Each merchant page lists the item types the trader buys, so silver and other restricted goods can be matched to the few traders willing to take them rather than carried from settlement to settlement on hope.
Stock refresh and planning a shopping run
Merchant stock refreshes on stock windows tied to the passage of game days rather than to real time. Since time in The Blood of Dawnwalker only advances when Coen completes activities, a merchant restocks as a consequence of play rather than of waiting.
That makes a shopping run worth combining with a quest chain. Clearing a few activities pushes the time bar, flips the phase, and by the time Coen fast travels back to a shrine near a settlement the trader has fresh stock to look at.
