Dear son,
I hope this letter finds you well. I pray every day to the Knyaz and the God he tells us about to watch over you. Follow your orders to the letter and beyond. With time, the vrakhiri will notice your dedication and promote you to Blood Guard, and then – who knows! Boyar Ambrus used to be a simple soldier, and look at him now.
Do us proud!
Your mother
PS Remember to wash your footwraps regularly.
